Hot Weather:
Since concrete sets faster in hot weather, slow or intermittent pumping is necessary if delays in placement are anticipated. Retarders are used to slow the curing process whilst pumping and finishing.
Cold Weather or Under Cover:
During cold weather or under cover, concrete does not set as quick, accelerators or lower slumps are quite often required.
